HMV chasing Napster, Apple

HMV, the UK based, music movie and games retailer, has committed £10 million to become a major player in the pay for download arena.

HMV announced today that they will relaunch their digital music service in the second half of 2005. HMV currently has a digital music store that used OD2Õs backbone but is hard to find on the website. Currently HMV offers downloads with its Windows Media format and will continue to do so.
